Question 7

How should I care for a Mylar sail?

Accepted Answer

To maintain a Mylar sail, it should be rinsed with fresh water after use and thoroughly dried before storage to prevent distortion and mold. Always release tension from the sail when storing, and avoid creasing the material, as creases are difficult to remove. Protect the sail from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and harsh solvents when not in use.
